My Story

With more than 36 years of high school soccer coaching experience, I bring a lifetime of knowledge, experience, and passion for developing young athletes. I served as the Head Varsity Soccer Coach for both boys and girls programs for 28 years and as an assistant coach for 8 years, coaching more than 1,000 high school games. I have been honored as Sectional Coach of the Year three times and have coached numerous players who went on to compete at the Division I college level.

My coaching experience includes recreational, club, youth, and all levels of high school soccer. I also ran youth soccer camps for 25 years and hold a National Soccer Coaching Certificate from U.S. Soccer. Throughout my career, I have attended numerous coaching clinics, including those led by U.S. Men's and Women's National Team head coaches.

In addition to coaching, I taught high school for 34 years in a large suburban Chicago school. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education with minors in Health and Driver Education, as well as a Master's degree in Teaching.

Soccer has been a lifelong passion. I played competitively for 38 years, including being selected to participate in a men's soccer All-Star game at the Chicago Fire's MLS home stadium. I have also experienced the game from a parent's perspective, with my daughters playing AYSO, club, and high school varsity soccer. My goal is to use this experience to help young players build their skills, confidence, and love for the game.
